A WOMAN has been arrested after a toddler wandered into a shop alone sparking a four-hour police appeal to find his parents.
The little boy, thought to be about two or three years old, walked into a shop in Wigan earlier today.
Cops said he was dressed for the cold weather and was playing at the police station after the concerned shop owner called police.
But he had not been reported missing and had no parents or guardians with him.
The shop’s owner, Zohaid Arshad, 29, told the Manchester Evening News: “He was OK. We gave him chocolate and a magazine and made sure he was OK. We looked after him and gave him anything he wanted.”
More than four hours later Greater Manchester Police confirmed they found a parent and the youngster was safe.
